Arkansas Comic Con 2023

The 2023 rendition of the Arkansas Comic Con exploded in “The Rock” this past

weekend bringing in thousands of visitors and more importantly tens of

thousands of dollars into the capital city.

Pop culture fans and observers of all ages and backgrounds showed up in droves

as they packed the Arkansas Statehouse Convention Center seeking food,

collectibles, and possibly an autograph or photo from one of many of the

celebrities on hand doing meet-and-greets. The biggest of these were Hollywood

legends William Shatner and Christopher Lloyd, who both met with hundreds of

devoted fans.

However, the Star Trek and Back to the Future duo weren’t the only stars in the

building this past weekend. Another notable in attendance who was a must-see

was Jim Cummings, the voice of Winnie the Pooh, the Tasmanian Devil, and the

Chesire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.

Ticket holders could also visit wrestling legends Scott Steiner, Ron Simmons, and

Lex Luger if that was where your fandom lied.

Along with the variety of celebrities who were spread throughout the convention

room floor were replicas of iconic film and television vehicles. Among those were

a Ghostbusters Ecto-1, an A-Team van, and a Smokey and the Bandit firebird,

which was accompanied by a group of lookalikes of Burt Reynolds, Sheriff Buford

T. Justice, and his son Junior.

Whether it was to seek pop-culture collectibles, meet your favorite celebrity, or

just take in the sights and sounds, the 2023 Arkansas Comic Con had something

for everyone of all ages.
